But perhaps Jennifer Lopez, 47, should have turned more of them down, starting with Cris Judd, 47. In September 2001, they walked down the aisle just three months into their relationship – and barely seven months later, they were done.

Kris Humphries, 31, popped the question in front of cameras in May 2011 and three months later, he and Kim Kardashian, 36, tied the knot in a TV special that aired on E!

But Kim filed for divorce just 72 days in, starting a battle of he-said, she-said that lasted seven times longer than their marriage. The split was eventually finalised in April 2013.

A huge Elvis fan, Nicolas Cage hit the jackpot when he wed the King’s only child in August 2002, only to file for divorce just over three months later.

Their separation, just four months later, wasn’t exactly a surprise, with Renee Zellweger, 47, filing for an annulment citing “fraud” and calling it “the biggest mistake”.
