Unable to live at home any longer, Penelope is determined to find a husband in season three. So much so, she agrees to receive guidance from friend Colin. Because who could bear the thought of being 18 years old and unwed?
Lord Debling is “eager” to take a wife this season when his eager eye is captured by Penelope. A description by Deadline described Lord Debling has having “unusual interests” and has “wealth and a noble title to back up his eccentricities.”
Who is Sam Phillips dating?
Fans confirmed Sam is dating his now-Bridgerton co-star Bessie Carter, who portrays Prudence Featherington sister to Penelope.
Their relationship status was revealed in the comment section of an image shared by Sam of himself and Bessie at an event supporting Luke Thompson.
“Lovely couple. Xx,” a fan commented, to which Sam responded: “Big love xxx”.
Additionally, Sam’s Instagram story highlight from nearly a year ago titled Beach House feature a video of Bessie capturing the sunset beach-side. He also reposted a photo from Bessie of himself preparing the bathtub – the pair were even wearing matching bathrobes!
It is unclear as to when exactly the pair met, however, both Sam and Bessie’s mother Imelda Staunton starred in The Crown but in different seasons.

Outside of his duties in the Regency era, Sam has starred in a variety of television series.
Arguably, the British actor is best known for his role as the Queen’s Equerry, Stephen Chambers in the global phenomenon The Crown. He played the character from 2019 to 2020, winning two SAG Awards for his role.
The 39-year-old has also appeared as Sergeant Dockett in Far From The Madding Crowd, Grantchester and The Syndicate (2015).
