Pippa Middleton and James Matthews might be jet-setting around Australia at the moment (next stop: Perth), but our money is on them returning to their UK roots for the final leg.
Glen Affric, an estate owned by James in the Scottish Highlands, is rumoured to be the last stop on their honeymoon/world tour. And honestly, we can totally see why – the place looks incredible.
The lavish mansion sits on a 10,000 acre plot, just a short drive away from Loch Ness.
With eight bedrooms, a whiskey room, reading room, spectacular views of the countryside, the estate would make for the perfect escape and end of whirlwind honeymoon.
After the newlyweds have packed up camp and headed back to their London home, you can rent the famous estate yourself, and live like semi-royalty.
Although the main house is privately owned by the Matthews family and used as their country getaway, the smaller Lodge and Stable Cottage are available to the public. David Beckham has even reportedly been a guest.
Activities on the estate include salmon fishing, wild brown trout fishing on Loch Affric, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, hiking, clay pigeon shooting, rifle target shooting, archery, walks accompanied by expert guides, bird watching, pony riding – so there really is something for everyone.
All meals are also included, and you have the option of trying the traditional Scottish fare which inspired the menu for Pippa and James’ wedding day. This included Glen Affric cranachan cheesecake, complemented by a Highland whiskey honey.
It will set you back around $1700 per person per night to stay at Glen Affric.
No word yet what dates Pippa and James have booked in for, but start planning your Scottish adventure soon before it gets too chilly.
