Coolangatta cat-trainer Robert Dollwet is the man training felines to be internet sensations and his YouTube Channel has amassed over 14 million views – now he wants ALL cats to follow in the same footsteps.
Robert’s most famous video: “CAT Super Skateboarding Adventure! Go Didga!” went viral when it was first released in January and has since accumulated over 2,700,000 views, making his pet cat Didga an international celebrity.
Take our survey: Tell us what you think of the Woman’s Day website!
The video features Didga nonchalantly rolling around the streets of Coolangatta on a skateboard, and performing tricks like jumping from the skateboard onto his owner’s shoulders and then landing back on the board again. At one point clever little Didga even jumps over a dog while the skateboard rolls underneath, and then lands on the board again on the other side.
Since then, Dollwet has upload countless other videos to his YouTube channel, CATMANTOO, of cats performing impressive tricks including his most recent original video Purrkour.
The video stars Didga again and this time has him imitating the human high adrenaline sport of “Parkour” which is like free-running across rooftops and involves vaulting over obstacles and leaping dangerously between buildings at great heights.

Robert does of course warn users not to attempt to copy his video at home, in case your cat gets injured, BUT he is very interested in teaching other cats his training tricks too as he believes cats are just as good at being trained as dogs are.
Robert tolled the Gold Coast Bulletin that: “I want to show that cats can also be taught things, anywhere from walking on a leash to skateboarding tricks.”
Don’t expect it to happen overnight though. Of the dog-leaping trick, Robert said: “We had to take lots of baby micro-steps to teach Didga the trick….“It can take up to a year to teach a cat a new trick.”
