The Sunrise presenter, who welcomed Labrador Banjo into her family at Christmas, looked totally at ease stepping out with her new pup.

The 40-year-old was joined by a pal as they took Banjo for a walk at a Sydney park.

Keeping Sam on her toes, the pup chased after birds, attempted to play fetch and when he was all tuckered out, doting Sam bundled him up into the car.

Proud Sam has taken to Instagram to keep fans up to date with her adorable dog’s naughty antics.

And chasing birds!

Sam welcomed the cute pooch into her life over the Christmas break.

Last week the presenter shared a hilarious snap of Banjo eating her Sunrise script.

“The B-Man is in the house… & he literally ate my homework. Well, my @sunriseon7 scripts……#Banjo,” Sam penned.

In another snap, the fluffy pooch naps peaceully on the floor.

“Passed out on Australia Day… Well, being on live TV IS exhausting (asleep under @markwhitmorebeirne ‘s desk),” she wrote.

This whole walking business is exhausting.
