Nora is an 8-year-old, rescue dog who had been abused so badly https://www.nowtolove.com.au/lifestyle/pets/this-neglected-dog-has-been-saved-thanks-to-the-internet-40020 in her life that she lived in fear of everyone and everything until she met 11-month-old Archie and her life changed forever.
Elizabeth Spence and her husband describe themselves as a living a life with life with three kids, three rescue cats AND three rescue dogs.
She tells the Dodo that the family have a hard time saying no to an when they see an animal in need.
“At any time of day you’re likely to find a pile of kids, cats and/or dogs lying about the house somewhere,” she explained to the Dodo.
And while all the animals love all the kids (and vice versa), there is one friendship that is so special it’s been making headlines around the world.
Nora is a rescue dog who suffered a traumatic start to life which left her skittish and living in fear. When she met baby Archie, she felt peace for the first time.
Elizabeth explains that something about Archie makes her feel calm, and the dog never leaves his side.
Archie is now 17-months-old, and the pair is still impossible to separate.
“If Archie is having a bath, Nora is lying on the bathmat waiting for him to get out,” Elizabeth explained.
“If I’m nursing him she wants up on my lap, too. If he’s going through my cupboards throwing all the dishes on the floor, she’ll be there cheering him on.”
Let’s hope the continue brightening each other’s lives for years to come.
