We mean, really wanted something?

We’re betting it’s not even close to the amount this delightful 13-year-old girl wanted a cat.

So enthusiastic was she about her mission for a furry friend, that the little girl created a “wall of sorrow” to guilt her father into buying the family a cat – and guess what?

It worked.

We’ve still got times to learn some tips from this bargaining queen for our own Christmas presents, at least people online certainly think so.

“This is because of you” reads the read marker, pointing to a tear coming from the cat’s eye.

“You’re letting them die in a tiny box doing nothing but crying,” reads one sign.

“Why did you do this to me,” this cat is smiling through the pain.

While she could have gone the route of a powerpoint presentation, the little girl chose to rock the paper guilt trip, which gives the entire project more of a touching, personal quality.

Perhaps that was the straw that broke the camels back because the family are now the (at least in part) happy owners of a new cat, and doesn’t Dad look pleased with the outcome!

It’s a Christmas miracle!

The wall of sorrow was shared on Twitter by the girls older sister, Danielle, with the original caption:

“My little sister made a “wall of sorrow” to make my dad feel bad so she could get a cat.. well it worked”

Her work has inspired others in their quest for fur babies and taken some on a walk down memory lane.

This could be the best use of a vision board we’ve ever seen.

Never underestimate the power of tenacity, hard work and of course the extreme strength of the child/parent guilt trip.

Merry Christmas!
