Walking the red carpet for her new film Rock the Kasbah Zooey finally revealed the offbeat name of her bundle of joy.
“It’s Elsie…” the New Girl star told People, before her husband Jacob Pechenik added, “Otter.”
Yep, you read right. Elsie Otter Pechenik.
“We just really liked the name Elsie, and then we both love otters because they’re so sweet and also smart,” the 35-year-old later told the US Today show.
Just in case you weren’t convinced that Zooey actually really, really likes otters she began to explain all the cute marine mammal’s lovable qualities.
“They use tools, they keep their favourite tools, they hold hands while they sleep, there are so many amazing things about otters. They’re wonderful animals.”
Zooey and her hubby revealed their daughter’s birth and their marriage in the same announcement back in August, but we are yet to see any pics of the bub.
However, the actress’s New Girl co-star Lamorne Morris confirms that Elsie is positively adorable.
“She looks like Zooey… two good-looking parents will make a good-looking kid,” he says.
