It’s not uncommon these days for a pregnant mama to record her partner’s reaction to learning they are going to be a dad. The dad-to-be’s raw emotional reaction is touching to see as he processes the news of his impending fatherhood.
But one video that did just this had us reaching for the tissues.
Using the classic ‘bun in the oven’ trick, the mum-to-be surprises her husband while they’re making dinner with the news that she is indeed expecting. Her visibly shocked and over-joyed husband then listens to his wife explain that she is 19 weeks along AND expecting a boy.
In a heartfelt, vulnerable moment her husband is then reduced to tears with the wonderful, but overwhelming news.
His emotional reaction is put into context when we learn that the couple had previously suffered four miscarriages and one stillbirth, and had given up trying to conceive after 15 years of no success.
“We had given up on the idea of having babies of our own, especially at our age,” the pregnant mum wrote in her YouTube caption.
“If you only knew the whole story! This is a 15-year-old miracle in the making!” added her sister in a YouTube comment.
