Divorce is hard. It’s painful, emotional and throws your life upside-down. Add children into the mix and divorce becomes even more complicated as parents fight for custody and attempt to be civil at a time that is extremely emotionally-charged.
But despite the challenges, one little girl from Canada has made an incredible plea to her mother to try and get along better with her dad.
In the heartfelt video six-year-old Tiana appeals to her newly-divorced mother, Sherry, to stop fighting with her dad.

“Just try your best,” she tells her mum in the clip, which was filmed after the parents had just had an argument.
“I don’t want you and my dad to be replaced and meanies again. I want you and my dad to be placed as settled and be friends.”
Little Tiana’s advice for her mum is from the heart and quite profound.
“I’m not trying to be mean. I just want all of us to be friends, and if I can be nice I think all of us can be nice too.”
“I’m not trying to be mean but I’m trying to do my best in my heart, nothing else than that. I want you mum, my dad, everyone to be friends.”
“I want everyone to be smiling… For you and my dad, mum, I think you can do it. I think you can settle your mean heights down a little to short heights.”
Tiana’s insightful words to her mum were understandably difficult for the already-guilt-ridden mother to hear.
“She brought me [to] tears and [made me] feel guilty,” she wrote on her Facebook video, which has now been viewed more than 7 million times.
“I was stunned by it! She is teaching me!! Woke me up!!!” Sherry added in her post.
The profound words from little Tiana have struck a cord with Facebook users across the world, with thousands of people sharing their admiration for her insights.
Even Hollywood actress Sharon Stone was touched by the video, sharing it with her own Facebook followers.
