60 Minutes reporter Tom Steinfort and wife Claudia Jukić are officially parents.
The 34-year-old journalist took to his Instagram to break the news first, and shared a slew of photos from their first hours together, revealing the baby girl’s gorgeous name.
“Our gorgeous girl, Frederikke 💖,” he wrote.
Tom continued his post to reveal details about her birth and the sweet nickname they’ve given her.
“Born yesterday – mum was amazing, Freddie is too beautiful for words, and dad cried more than the baby.”
His contemporaries posted their congratulatory messages for the family in the comment section.
Brooke Boney wrote, “Oh my goodness guys. She’s perfect. Congratulation’s legends. Can’t wait for a cuddle ❤️❤️❤️,” and Deborah Knight commented, “Huge congrats!!! ❤️.”
Claudia shared the same photos of the sweet polaroid of Freddie laying on her chest and of her swaddled while sleeping.
“Welcome Frederikke 💌 We love golden hour and life chats with our favourite girl,” captioned the proud mother.
The couple wed in 2019 in a stunning ceremony in Hvar, Croatia, which was a fitting location as Tom proposed in the same European country the year before.
Claudia, who is a style editor at David Jones’ in-house magazine Jones, looked breathtaking in a beautiful long-sleeved white pleated dress by New York City designer Danielle Frankel.
The couple were married in St Stephen’s Cathedral in Hvar, and the reception was later held at the 16th-century Hvar Fortress.
They were introduced by mutual friends in 2018 at a party, but they couldn’t quite kick it off because Tom was whisked away for a work trip. However, they eventually met for drinks at a Sydney pub, and the rest is history.
“I was running late, again because of work—it always conspires against us,” Tom told Channel Nine, but the pair “got on like a house on fire, and the next thing you know, it was four hours later.”
In 2020, the couple held a legally binding ceremony in Melbourne during lockdown, and Claudia stunned in a white pant suit as they posed with their certificate.
