"How easy is it for a paedophile to pick up an underage child using social media?" the video begins. Before long, it becomes scarily obvious, just how easy it can be.

A Youtube star famous for his funny pranks has chosen to raise awareness about a much more serious issue: the ease with which paedophiles are able to lure in teenage girls.

While parents might think their children are safe, Coby Persin, 21, has revealed how even the most seemingly sensible of girls are falling prey to the messages of paedophiles, rapists and abductors.

โ€œHow easy is it for a paedophile to pick up an underage child using social media?โ€ the video begins. Before long, it becomes scarily obvious, just how easy it can be.

โ€œI made a fake profile on Facebook posing as a 15-year-old boy,โ€ Coby explains. Acting as a teen named Jason Biazzio he โ€œfriend-requested three girls ages 14, 13, and 12,โ€ documenting what occurred at each step of the way.

One girl, Mikayla, 13, decides Jason is a nice guy after he tells her, โ€œI just moved from Florida to your townโ€. She messages him back and forth on Facebook for a while, waits for her parents to leave the house, and then slips out the door to her local park to meet her new โ€˜friendโ€™.

What awaits her? A rude shock, and an important lesson in never talking to strangers online.
