The Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group has become something of a DIY phenomenon online.
The ladies only Facebook page has created a connected and savvy community of mums around the country.
From upcycled rose gold fridges to must-have shoe racks, these mums are transforming their homes using thrifty DIY hacks, some elbow grease and a lot of creativity.
One of our favourites is this genius Kmart nappy station hack.
A simple white desk filled foldable cloth black boxes which holds “nappys, nappy wipes, nappy bags, all the creams and powders, singlets, socks and bibs,” the excited Kmart mum revealed.

Nappy station
We love this amazing nappy station hack!
“Just made a nappy station for my little man,” said one amazing Kmart Mum. “this Kmart beauty holds nappys, nappy wipes, nappy bags, all the creams and powders, singlets, socks and bibs! Best thing I’ve bought and it only cost me $25”

This one will please busy parent’s everywhere!
“Saw this hack in a baby jogger group I’m in, Kmart bike basket on the cmgt… great pram but basket space is pretty little and hard to access… problem solved! and only $12”
Apparently there’s very little risk of bumping it while you walk/run/jog, double win!
This Christmas wreath
This is a faboulous festive hack if we ever saw one
“After 3 packets of decorations, 1 pool noodle, 1 glue gun and 2 refill packets, 4 finger print removals and 7 thigh burns I did it,” said this Kmart Mum as she shared her hard work in the Facebook group.
Light blocker
Forget new shutters, this Mum managed an extremely effective light blocker for just $10, by buying Kmart car visors.
“Literally fits the window perfectly and only needed to use the suction cups that came with the visors!Best $10 I’ve spent all year,” she said, thanking the first Kmart Mum who inspired her handy hack.
Wall decor
You don’t need to spend a fortune to create a whole new room for your little one.
Using the $5 Kmart stationary adhesive in copper, this Kmart Mum managed to create a very trendy new look.
“LOVING the rose gold adhesive vinyl! All cut out by hand and measured. A little hack of my own,” she said.
Upcycled fridge
This could be the best hack of the year. Gypsy is a Kmart Mum who used a $5 roll of vinyl adhesive from the Kmart stationary section to give new life to her fridge.
“Rocking the rose gold,” she said.
It took almost two days to complete, but it was definitely worth it!
Table centrepiece
This chic table centrepiece was made by one very crafty Kmart Mum.
Using Kmart Soffitta Vases, Twinkle lights, Kmart candles and hanging bottle brush tree ornaments, she may have just won Christmas.
