Any parent knows the struggle that comes along with raising teenage kids, especially when they get in a mood, and slam their bedroom door shut right behind them.
But it looks like one teen boy won’t be slamming his door again for a very long time – or possibly ever. And it’s all because of his parents’ super-smart punishment.
Mum and dad actually went in and cut off the top half of his door, leaving only the bottom half for not only inadequate slamming material, but also a great view into his room at all times.
Parents everywhere, take note…
Hilariously, this post spurred on many other parents to reminisce about how their own mum and/or dad punished them for the throwing a tantrum of door-slamming proportions.
“My parents removed the entire door. Then gave it back to me for Christmas. Bow and all. Lesson learned,” one user remembers.
Another wrote: “My parents took the hinges out but left the door so I had to physically pick it up and set it in place if I wanted it closed!”
And the make-you-laugh memories continued…
“Yikes…when I was little and we slammed a door we had to open and close it ‘nicely’ 100 times… We learned pretty quick…”
“My parents took the hinges out but left the door so I had to physically pick it up and set it in place if I wanted it closed!”
“I slammed the door in my mother’s face when I was 16, she removed the door and threw it out of the house, that door was never replaced…..The house was sold 15-plus years later with no door on that bedroom. She was not a woman to be trifled with!”
