Congratulations are in order for former Bachelor star Tara Pavlovic-Shepherdson, who announced she’s expecting a little girl with her husband Nick Shepherdson.
The mother-of-one, who gave birth to her son Paddy last May, revealed the exciting news to Instagram on Sunday night.
Tara posted a photo of her pregnancy test next to a positive COVID-19 rapid antigen test, writing: “Flash back to 8 weeks ago…”
“What a day of mixed emotions that was 😂😱😍🤧😵.
“Little MISS Shep, due September 2022. Paddy has no idea what is going on but I’m sure he will love having a new friend to play with 🥰. @shepaa and I are super excited (& nervous 😳) and can’t wait to meet our little girl 💕.”
Tara’s announcement was met with dozens of well-wishes from fellow celebrities.
SAS Australia star Barry Hall writing: “So good! Congrats guys. 🙌👏”
“Huge congratulations ❤️,” season four Bachie star Olena Khamula penned.
Meanwhile Laura Byrne, who was in the Bachelor mansion with Tara vying for Matty J’s heart wrote: “That first picture was an emotional roller coaster. Congratulations honey!!! Amazing news.”
In November, Tara, who has long been refreshingly candid about motherhood, admitted that she has struggled to find time for herself since welcoming Paddy.
“I really struggle with taking time out for myself while working and being a mum,” she revealed.
“I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day and I have this to-do list in my brain and it’s never complete and everyday I spend chasing my tail.
“I struggle to turn my brain off and just zone out when I have things I need to do. It’s something I’m working on.”
The former nanny also got raw on her post-partum sex life, admitting she was “petrified” the first time her and Nick had sex following Paddy’s birth.
“I also didn’t feel like my usual ‘sexy’ self having milk tits. It felt kind of wrong. But now I’m like YOLO,” she joked.
Tara first rose to fame after coming third in Matty J’s season of The Bachelor in 2017.
The following year, she found love with Sam Cochrane after he proposed to her on Bachelor In Paradise. The pair never made it to the altar and endured a messy, public split in June 2018.
The 32-year-old eventually found her happily ever after with long-term friend Nick, who she has known for over 10 years. The pair tied the knot in September 2020.
