Simon Pryce is in the throes of blissful new parenthood at the moment, and his followers on Instagram are getting all the highlights.
The famous red Wiggle welcomed a baby boy last week with his wife Lauren Hannaford, with the pair announcing the news on Instagram.
“I am so overcome with emotion and overwhelming feelings of love that it’s impossible to put in to words everything I am feeling right now. ❤️,” Simon wrote alongside a picture of the mum, dad and newborn together in hospital.
“@lozhannaford and I are so fortunate, happy and blessed to have you in our lives. 🙏🏼”
“Welcome to the world ASHER WILLIAM PRYCE 💙In an instant, I can’t imagine my life without you being here,” he finished.
Now, one week on from his son’s whirlwind arrival, Simon took to his Instagram again to share another, gorgeous photo of Asher.
As the newborn lies on a rug next to a picture which reads, “One Week Old”, Simon mused: “And what an incredible week it has been!”
“Hmmm I wonder what I’ll do next week…” Simon added.
Lauren has also used her Instagram page to share updates with fans.
Last week, she shared the meaning behind the name, Asher.
“Asher means: Happy & Blessed… And that is exactly what we are to have you, our gorgeous boy. 🙏🏼 @simon_wiggle 😍,” she said.
The doting mum added: “We love you endlessly and beyond comprehension already!! We miss you so much when you are sleeping… but at the same time just want to sit and watch you for hours while you do it. ❤️😆.”
“We can’t wait to tackle life together as a family, you are our everything. We love you.”
The couple were thrilled to have a boy, first revealing the gender to Now To Love last year where they told us: “We sort of always thought we would have a boy first. He’s a very active little boy,” Lauren said at the time.
The pair encountered a challenging journey to welcoming their new baby, with Lauren struggling to conceive initially.
They since spoke about it taking Lauren two years before she fell pregnant after she discovered she had cysts on her ovaries.
But she miraculously fell pregnant naturally, and it’s clear the journey was absolutely worth it.
We can’t wait to see what two weeks, and even two years brings for little Asher – stay tuned!
