Congratulations are in order for Rebecca Maddern and her husband, Trent Miller, who are expecting their first child together.
The 40-year-old and her husband of three years, a cameraman by trade, announced the happy news via Instagram on Friday night.
“Can’t wait for our new arrival in 2018! 👶🏻” she captioned a sweet picture of a giant teddy bear, blanket and a pair of baby socks.
Media personalities and fans of the television presenter were quick to share their well-wishes in the comments section.
Edwina Bartholomew, who is perhaps best known for her work on Channel Seven’s Sunrise, wrote, “Wow. Wow. Wow. So exciting xx” while Rebecca Judd, fellow television presenter and mother-of-four, added: “Yay girlfriend. The best news. Huge congratulations to you both 😘😘😘”
Meanwhile, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze penned: Woo hooo!!! That is amazing news!!! Congrats xxxx”
The duo are yet to announce whether they’re expecting a boy or girl, but have revealed that their little one’s entrance into the world will take place in May.
Speaking with The Fix, the Channel Nine personality explained that she’s only just beginning to enjoy the pregnancy after suffering “quite badly” with morning sickness.
“It’s been so special over the past few days to share the news with family and close friends,” she told the publication.
“I suffered quite badly with morning sickness, or as as I like to call it 24/7 sickness, early on.”
“That’s tough because you can’t tell workmates why you’re not 100 percent — but that has pretty much passed now, so it’s nice to start to enjoy the feeling of being pregnant.”
The popular television presenter is expected to continue with her hosting gigs on the AFL Footy Show and Australian Ninja Warrior in 2018. She previously hosted Channel Seven’s afternoon news bulletin.
Congratulations again to the happy couple!
