Just shy of two weeks since Beyonce dropped one of the most ~epic~ pregnancy announcements to ever hit our Instagram feed, Queen Bey has rocked the Grammys with her – literally – glowing baby bump.
And it’s official: we’re drunk in love with it.
Staying true to her alter-ego Sasha Fierce, mum-to-be Beyonce lit up the stage in an embellished gold frock-and-crown combo (yes, she looks like a high-shine Statue of Liberty and yes, we love it) as her husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, casually dressed in a pink Gucci tux, watched with adoration from the crowd.
Following her (one word: amazing) performances of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles”, the 35-year-old took to the mic to accept the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
“I thank God for my family, my wonderful husband, my beautiful daughter and my fans for bringing me so much happiness and support,” she began.
“We all experience pain and loss, and often we become inaudible. My intention for the [Lemonade] film and album was to create a body of work that gives a voice to our pain, our struggles, our darkness, our history.”
“It’s important for me to show images to my children that reflect their beauty so they can grow up in a world where they look in the mirror, first to their own families, as well as the news, the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the White House and the Grammys, and see themselves and have no doubt that they’re beautiful, intelligent and capable.”
“This is something I want for every child of every race.”
Naturally, Queen Bey ruling the Grammys kingdom was enough to send Twitter into Beyhive overdrive.
And really we can’t say we’re surprised considering Beyonce pretty much threw a Kim Kardashian-West and broke the internet with the exciting news that she and Jay are expecting twins on February 2.
Because who run the world? Literally, this baby bump…
