Once conception has occurred, men don’t traditionally have a lot to do with pregnancy, other than rushing out in the middle of the night to buy ice cream, pickles and anything else his partner is craving, but that could be about to change.
A revolutionary new belt has been developed that allows dads-to-be to feel their baby’s kicks in their own stomachs.
The twin belts — which took baby company Huggies four months to develop — measures the kicks in the pregnant woman’s stomach and then transfers them to the man’s belly in real time.
The company invited several future fathers to try out the new technology, leaving all of them in tears as they felt their children kick for the first time.
“Pregnancy has always been about her,” the Huggies video says. “That’s why we did something special to compensate fathers — we developed a belt that replicates in real time, a baby’s kicks and sends them from mum’s belly to dad’s belly.”
