Officer Hao, a new mum herself, was charged with the task of holding the little one as their mother answered to crimes including embezzlement and concealment of illegal gains, which she later pleaded guilty for.

When the woman’s baby starting screaming in the courtroom, Officer Hao asked her if she could feed the unsettled child as she faced court.

“The baby wouldn’t stop crying and we were all worried,” Office Hao explained.

“I am a new mother – I could feel how anxious the child’s mother would have been. All I thought about was to try my best and comfort the tiny baby.”

Officer Hao is then said to have found a quiet corner close by and nursed the distressed child.

Pictures of the gesture have since gone viral, with people across the world celebrating Officer Hao’s kind act by singing her praises online.
