Often babies and planes are not a match made in heaven but two considerate parents in the US won over their fellow passengers when they provided them with some thoughtful goodie bags.
Alia and Chris McCants anticipated that their 5-month-old infant twins, Aria and Carter might not be the most amazing travel buddies during their flight from New York City to Detroit so they prepared 80 “care packages” for everyone on their plane.
Along with ear plugs and lollies the parents wrote a note explaining that they were commuting for a funeral and wanted to “apologise in advance” for any inconvenience that their babies might cause while 35,000ft in the air.
“This is our second flight, ever,” the McCants note began. “We came to Michigan to bury our Pops, Marcus Belgrave, and we’d like to apologize in advance if we get scared or our ears hurt on the plane on the way home.
“Our parents hope we sleep the whole way … However, to make sure that you’re happy too, please accept this bag as a token of our appreciation for your patience.”
Now after all that if your heart can’t be warmed enough not to excuse a few baby screams on a short flight then perhaps you should walk the length of your journey to take a really long, hard look at yourself.
