Sir Chris Hoy has shared the progress of his son, Callum, who was born 11 weeks prematurely, with a heart-wrenching photo of the tiny baby soon after birth.
In a post to Twitter on December 27 (local time), the British cyclist and six-time gold Olympic medallist wrote, “Today was Callum’s due date, but he arrived 11 weeks early.
“Amazing how far he’s come since then, we’re so thankful.”
It is accompanied by an amazing picture of the tiny premmy baby soon after birth, and a strong and healthy-looking Callum at nearly three months old.

Sarra Hoy retweeted her husband’s message, adding: “Our miracle”.
Sarra gave birth to Callum, their first child, on October 15 – almost three full months before Callum was due.
The couple announced the news via Twitter:
“Amazed, delighted & a little shocked to announce the birth of our beautiful baby son, Callum David Robert Hoy! Born at 29weeks, today at 2pm”.
“Although v.early days for wee Callum, he’s doing well as is @SarraHoy. Huge thanks to the incredible medical staff.”

Sir Chris is a national living treasure in the UK, having won more Olympic gold medals than any other British athlete and leading Team GB to a record tally at the the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
