A father has captured the moment his newborn daughter met her terminally ill 92-year-old great-grandmother for the first time.
Scott Martin took the image of his two-day-old daughter Penelope Rose Martin with his grandmother Millie on his smartphone.
He uploaded it to Reddit, where it has been viewed more than 1.5 million times in less than 24 hours.
“Life comes and goes,” he wrote. “But life is always beautiful.”
Millie is bedridden and battling congestive heart failure and Scott believes she will now be able to pass away peacefully.
“I think my grandmother here has been holding on for this moment,” he said. “This was one of the best days of my life. I think it was up there for her, too.”
