Neighbours star Scott McGregor welcomes second child

Congratulations are in order for former Neighbours actor Scott McGregor who has welcomed a son with wife Bianka Voigt.

Taking to Instagram, the 38-year-old, who played policeman Mark Brennan on the long-running soap, announced the news and revealed the bub’s name.

“Jackson Charles McGregor. We couldn’t be more in love!!” Scott wrote.

Scott also shared a series of photos of himself and his wife in hospital with the newborn, who is a sibling to their daughter Evie Skye, who was born in 2017.

The actor’s former Neighbours co-stars were quick to offer their congratulations to the pair.

Travis Burns, who played Scott’s on-screen brother wrote: “Congratulations you two!”

“Congratulations beautiful fam,” wrote Ashleigh Brewer, who played Scott’s long-running love interest.

Neighbours stalwart Alan Fletcher added: “Could not be more excited for you both!”

In August, Scott and Bianka announced they were expecting their second child, sharing a photo of Bianka flashing her baby bump.

“When 3 became 4!! 👨👩👧👦 #No2” Scott wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Bianka wrote: “Evie’s going to be a big sister!!💕14 weeks babybump #mummaof2 #love #family”

Jackson is a little brother to the couple’s daughter, Evie.

Scott’s character Mark was a fixture in Ramsay Street for five years before finally leaving the show in October last year.

“I have so much love for this place,” Scott wrote on Instagram as he bid farewell to the show.

“I feel extremely fortunate and very honoured to have worked with not only the amazing actors I can now call lifelong friends, but all the incredibly talented departments that make this place what it is.

“Without them, this show just wouldn’t exist.”

Scott also praised Neighbours‘ viewers in the touching post.

“Thanks to all the @neighbours fans out there for watching, and hopefully you enjoyed Mark Brennan and the Brennan family. I feel really proud of what we have put down.

“I can’t wait for my next role, and until then, I’ll be spending as much quality time with my beautiful family as I can.”
