At you average first birthday party, you can expect a cake, balloons and plenty of family and friends to join in the celebrations.
But when you’re Nadia Bartel, who celebrated her youngest son Henley’s first birthday over the weekend, you have to crank it up a notch.
The fashion influencer took to Instagram to share some snaps of her son’s milestone day and the whole event looked like something off a Pinterest board.
Complete with a giant multicoloured balloon arch, Nadia treated her guests to an epic antipasto board and Henley’s three-tiered jungle themed cake looked too good to eat!
“My beautiful birthday boy,” Nadia captioned a photo of Henley with his cake.
“Big love to @nikoscakes for making cakes that taste even better than they look ( we got berry and white choc and honeycomb crunch- soo yum) and cannoli’s from @roccos_delicatessen soo delish and their platters out of this world.”

And while his mum and big brother three-year-old Aston were in attendance, there was one person who was noticeably absent from Henley’s birthday party – his dad, Jimmy Bartel.

Nadia shared a sweet candid moment between herself and the birthday boy.
(Image: Instagram @nadiabartel)Plenty of friends and family were in attendance but there was no sign of Nadia’s estranged husband Jimmy, who announced his split from his wife in August.
Nadia’s sister Michelle shared an adorable family photo and captioned it, “Happy Birthday Henley #FamilyIsEverything”, which could be interpreted as a subtle dig at Jimmy.
The former AFL player moved out of the family home earlier this year and has since made things official with his new girlfriend, Lauren Brand.

“It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys,” Nadia told The Herald Sun at the time.
“Although I’m heartbroken, I don’t want to comment specifically on what’s been reported about Jim’s trip to the UK as I don’t think that is in anyone’s interests,” she added.
“My single focus now is to continue to protect, care and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter. I am so thankful for my very supportive family and friends.”

(Image: Channel Seven)Last month, Nadia joined the all-star cast of The All New Monty: Ladies’ Night and stripped off to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer and women’s health.
Seeing as the special was filmed before their public break up, Jimmy was in the audience of the final show but was edited out of the special.
“It’s been a tough time for me recently personally,” Nadia said in a piece to camera during the show regarding their split. “It’s just so painful.”
