The event unfolded in Yiwu, China, when the woman accidentally locked her keys inside her car, along with her young son.

After fire fighters were called to the scene by local onlookers, the woman reportedly asked emergency services not to smash the windows of her BMW because it was an expensive car, explaining that she would rather wait for a locksmith to come and unlock the door.

However, as the temperatures outside reached a sweltering 32C, the young boy fainted inside the car, forcing the fire fighters to disregard the woman’s request, and smash the window to extract the boy.

One of the fire fighters commented, “It’s very dangerous to leave children inside cars, especially in such heat. It can threaten a child’s life in a very short time.”
