As the Curry-Kenny clan continue to mourn the untimely death of Jaimi Kenny, it’s clear she is never far from their minds.
And this week, both Ryan Gruell and Lisa Curry have praised Morgan Kenny for her strength as she reaches the final leg of her second pregnancy while dealing with the overwhelming grief of losing her older sister.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Thursday evening, Ryan posted a breathtaking photo of his pregnant wife standing under the night sky, framed in a dark silhouette by the billowing clouds.
“I am so appreciative for all that you endure @morgangruell to bring our child into this world. You amaze me,” Ryan captioned the incredible shot.
Meanwhile, Morgan’s mother Lisa Curry posted the same photo to her Instagram grid, noting that she was certain Jaimi was looking down on her little sister.
“Looks like someone smiling down from above on my little mumma Morgan and her new baby 😊,” the former Olympic swimmer said.
Earlier in the week, the family gathered to celebrate Morgan and Ryan’s baby shower with a gender reveal party in Maleny, Queensland.
“Nearly ready to be a granny, pa, gigi and opa again. 🤗 Beautiful afternoon for a baby shower with a beautiful couple. Will baby be pink or blue? 💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙@morgangruell @ryan.gruell @gruells #granny #pa #gigi #opa,” the former swimming champ penned.
In one family snap, a pregnant Morgan is pictured with her husband Ryan, their two-year-old son Flynn, Ryan’s parents and Morgan’s parents – Lisa Curry and ex-husband Grant Kenny.
In another, a cake with a rainbow on top sits on the table, presumably with the icing revealing if Morgan is having a boy or girl.
Former professional dancer Morgan, who works as a pilates instructor on the Sunshine Coast, announced her second pregnancy back in May.
And in a truly special touch, Morgan revealed her second child’s due date was actually on her birthday – November 9th.
The Kennys have had an emotional few weeks since their first announcement about 33-year-old Jaimi.
In a heartbreaking statement, Lisa’s ex-husband Grant Kenny confirmed the news about his daughter on September 14.
“It is with a very heavy heart that Lisa and I confirm that our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital this morning in the company of loving family,” he said in a statement.
He added: “Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself.”
