New coolest mum ever alert. Mindy Kaling revealed to E! News that her first child was born on Dec. 15, and she couldn’t be happier.
The Mindy Project star welcomed a beautiful baby girl, who she named Katherine Kaling.
Mindy revealed that she was blessed with the “unexpected surprise” of pregnancy in July, and though she wouldn’t reveal who the father of her child is, or other details surrounding her pregnancy, the 38-year-old did admit that she’s “really excited” to have a child of her own.
“I’d like to be the fun mum, I know I’m gonna be the dorky mum,” she said on the Today show. “So if I can be kind of fun too, I think that would be nice.”
Though Mindy welcomed a new baby just three days ago, you could never guess by looking at her Instagram.
Instead, you’ll see photos and videos promoting her upcoming projects, including hilarious heist movie Ocean’s 8, Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time, and her stunning Time magazine cover.
We never expected Mindy to reveal her new baby on Instagram like some stars do, but we’re still dying for a glimpse of the baby girl.
Mindy had her baby just 10 days before Christmas, and what a perfect way to make the holidays special.
Her house is already decked out in her “Wreath Witherspoon” and a gorgeous tree, but now she’s got to rush out to get a bunch of “baby’s first Christmas” stuff!
Congrats Mindy, we know you’ll be an awesome mum!
