With the due date for her first child fast approaching, Jesinta Franklin’s (nee Campbell) is absolutely glowing.
And as she stepped out in a custom Camilla and Marc ensemble at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, Jesinta gave the most gorgeous glimpse of her baby bump yet.
Speaking to Now To Love at the event, Jesinta, who is married to AFL star Lance “Buddy” Franklin, revealed the type of mum she hopes to be.
“All I want is for this child to feel so loved,” the former Miss Universe Australia said.
“[I want] to feel happy and healthy and I want to be able to guide this child through life and have fun with them and teach them the thing I’ve learned along the way but allow the little one to make mistakes and learn their own lessons. I hope to be a kind and caring and loving mum.”

The 28-year-old announced her pregnancy in August and opened up about her pregnancy journey so far.
“I feel good, I feel really healthy and fit. I’m in that second trimester, so lots of those lovely dovey hormones and yeah I’m feeling really good,” she said.
“I think it’s just about listening to your body. If there’s days when I feel like I need a sleep in and not go to the gym and I do that. There’s days where I feel like I have energy and I work out, but I just try not to push myself. I think it’s about listening to your body. “

While Jesinta and Buddy are looking forward to the arrival of their first child, the couple hasn’t settled on a name yet.
“No names yet. It’s tricky we haven’t thought about it yet. I’m sure we will a little bit closer to the date,” she said.
Jesinta also said she’s enjoying the atmosphere of the races despite being pregnant.
“I’m a pretty social person so I love being a bit of a busy bee and chatting to everyone. Lots of toilet breaks. I have fun! This is such an incredible marquee and so many women that I am inspired by, so it’s really good catching up,” she explained.
