In case you missed it, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are expecting their first child, due in British spring 2019.
And while the young royals have given the British monarchy a brand new royal outlook, they are still dictated by tradition.
The newest member (for now) Duchess Meghan has received a crash course in the rules and regulations.
But now that Baby Sussex is on the way, she has received yet another note- she will not be allowed to celebrate the occasion with a baby shower.

Meghan has happily stepped into royal life.
Royal expert Victoria Arbiter explained to The Sun that throwing the party is no-no for members of the British monarchy.
She shared that since royals are “very wealthy, a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate. There’s nothing they can’t go out and buy themselves”.
Meghan would be pleased to know that she is more than welcome to accept gifts from her loved ones, should they wish to celebrate the arrival of the newborn royal baby.
There had been murmurs that Duchess Catherine may have had baby showers hosted by her party expert sister Pippa Middleton – but British royal experts believe this is very unlikely as baby showers are rather uncommon in the UK.
However, the pre-baby bash is a huge deal in Meghan’s native America.
Meghan, who grew up in California, would have been present for many baby showers including her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s parties for her three little ones Ivy and twins Brian and John.
Meghan shared this sweet snap of her godkids Remi and Rylan Litt during her Instagram days.
The Duchess of Sussex will undoubtedly be saddened that she’s giving up the chance to have such an exciting shindig.
The baby shower can be added to a long list of things that the former actress has to say goodbye to.
Earlier this year, reports emerged that her style has been given the royal once over.
The Mail on Sunday in the UK claim that Duchess Meghan’s desire to wear trousers on her current tour of Australia has ruffled a few feathers within the royal household.
The publication alleged the 37-year-old, who has stepped out in several stylish tuxedo pants over the past few months, recently made a bulk order of designer trousers to wear on her upcoming tour of Australia – but the decision was ultimately vetoed by Prince Harry.

The Duchess dazzled in this chic Alexander McQueen pant suit back in February.
“The style is said to be barely tolerated by Royal aides, who want her to stick to the traditional demure skirts and opaque tights,” the Mail on Sunday claimed.
“And Harry, who has been sitting in on some of Meghan’s meetings at Kensington Palace with ‘special projects teams’ from various designers, is said to have given the thumbs-down to a masculine Stella McCartney tuxedo suit his wife picked out for a glitzy evening event during the tour,” the news outlet added.
While all of her public outings have gone off without a hitch, behind the scenes it’s believed Meghan has been “expressing frustrations” with many of the monarchy’s stringent customs and traditions.
Meghan has been a trailblazer with redefining the royal boundaries – only time will tell if she decides to shake things up.
