At the recent British Fashion Awards, where Duchess Meghan made a surprise appearance, a video capturing the Duchess on stage has us all swooning, and itโ€™s not solely because her baby bump looks so darn cute.

The pregnant Duchess couldnโ€™t have looked more of the doting mother-to-be as she stood on stage to present the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Claire Waight Keller of Givenchy.

The royal gushed about Keller, who was the very designer behind her wedding dress, before presenting her with the award and sharing a warm embrace.

But it was another moment that occurred while Meghan was on-stage that really warmed our hearts.

One guest was filming the Duchess as she cradled her baby bump on stage, and in the video, posted to Instagram by a fan account, you can actually see the Duchess close her eyes and have a moment as her baby kicks.

Weโ€™ll just be over here watching this about 50 times over now โ€“ see it for yourself in the player below!

The video was captioned by the fan account: โ€œBaby Sussex is full of energy!! Look how he/she kicks mummy hard and Meghan closes her eyesโ€.

Itโ€™s abundantly clear that Meghan is excited to become a mum โ€“ the way she cradles her bump at any opportunity is case in point.

And as it turns out, thereโ€™s actually a very good reason for it.

Midwife trainer Katherine Graves told The Daily Mail that itโ€™s a positive thing for mums to hold their baby bump.

โ€œItโ€™s a positive thing for both mum and baby to touch and reassure baby, which is vital for babyโ€™s bonding and well being, staving off postnatal depression and facilitating healthy connection for all,โ€ she told the publication.

She said babies can actually recognise what they have experienced in the womb after they were born, strengthening the bond with their mother from day dot.

โ€œIf touching her bump does nothing more than help Meghan feel calm, even that will have a profound effect on her baby.โ€

And we certainly canโ€™t blame her โ€“ if she wasnโ€™t cradling her bump like that we might never have seen that gorgeous reaction to her feeling it kick!

It is expected that the Duchess will give birth in the UK spring, and itโ€™s clear Prince Harry is just as excited for the impending arrival.

While on their royal tour of Australia in October, the ginger Prince even admitted which gender heโ€™s hoping for when a person called out to him: โ€œCongratulations, I hope itโ€™s a girl!โ€

Harry sweetly replied: โ€œSo do I!โ€
