Megan Gale and fiancé Shaun Hampson have finally decided on a name for their week old baby girl, and it’s a classic.
Introducing… Rosie May Dee Hampson!
Taking to Instagram, the supermodel explained the thought process behind the new arrivals all-important moniker.
“We were lucky we had so many great names for this little girl. We just wanted to be really sure that it was the one for her,” she wrote alongside an up-close photo of the little girl. “This was a name I had really liked initially when I was pregnant , Shaun wasn’t a fan so I’d crossed it off the list and we focused only on one other name that we both liked.”
The 42-year-old added: “Then when she was born Shaun said she really suited Rosie but we still weren’t 100% and also still keen on some of the other names too. Talk about indecisiveness!”
But it wasn’t long before the penny dropped…
“Anyway, yesterday we stared long and hard at her while she was snoozing and it just all came together,” she continued. “No other name seemed to suit her more than Rosie.”
What’s more, the darling name holds a beautiful significance as it was inspired by not one but FOUR family members.
“The name has a beautiful significance too, much like River’s,” the new mother-of-two penned. “Rosie is a nod to my Nana (Dad’s Mum, Rosella), May is my Mum’s name, Dee is Shaun’s Mum’s name and obviously Hampson, the family name from Tom, Shaun’s Dad. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
Megan, who also shares three-year-old son River with her AFL player partner, took to Instagram to announce she had given birth to a baby girl last week.
“WHEN 3 BECOMES 4,” she wrote. “Our darling little bun came out of the oven earlier this week. Sweet little soul. You are already so blessed. Healthy as can be with a family that has fallen head over heels in love with you.”
“A big brother that is already so attentive and protective, (who has also handled all these big changes like a boss ) a Dad who is so smitten with you and that you already have firmly wrapped around your little finger,” she continued. “And myself, who’s been so lucky to have carried you in my belly for 9 months and to have had the pleasure and privilege of birthing you into this world (and can I just say .. we nailed it kid).”
She added: “I’m so committed to being the absolute best mother, friend and role model for you. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mama, my darling girl.”
Congratulations again to the new family-of-four!
