Congratulations are in order for former Married At First Sight bride Charlene Perera as she welcomes her first child with her partner Jonathan Byrnes.
The new parents were over the moon as they took to Instagram to announce the safe arrival of their son and reveal his name.
“Austin Mahinda Perera-Burns. Born 20/09/22. Weight 3.7kg,” she wrote.
“Just when we thought we couldn’t know more love here you are. Our hearts are full.”
Charlene first revealed she and fiancé Jonathan Byrnes were expecting back in April 2022.
Sharing a black-and-white photo of an ultrasound, the MAFS star confirmed she was going to be a mum this year.
“Definitely not just bloating!” Charlene joked. “We are both beyond grateful and excited to bring baby Perera-Byrnes into our world end September 💕 👶🏽🤰🏾#allofthelove #prayforotto @jonathan.byrnes.”
Her MAFS co-stars were quick to share their support in the comments below.

The pregnancy announcement came nine months after Jonathan popped the question to Charlene.
Jonathon popped the question to Charlene in July 2021.

The new parents officially met on a dating app and instantly felt a spark.
It didn’t take long for things to ramp up between the pair, and they soon moved in together in January 2021.
“If I’m a mile-a-minute, he’s two-and-a-half miles a minute,” Charlene told 9Entertainment at the time.

“I always wanted to have children, and then, obviously, I hadn’t met anybody at that time,” she said.
“I wanted a career, so I just had planned that in a few years I would do that [have children] on my own if I haven’t met anybody. But now I’ve met somebody.”

Before meeting Jonathon, Charlene appeared on MAFS season five where she was partnered with groom, Patrick.
The pair became firm friends during the social experiment, but failed to find a romantic connection while on the show and ultimately decided to part ways.
But it seems like she found her happy ever after in the end! Congratulations to the happy parents.
