Pregnancy hormones are a force to be reckoned with, a fact Laura Byrne discovered when reality television was enough to bring her to tears this week.
The Bachelor star, who won the heart of Matty J during 2017’s season five, is due to have her first child in June 2019. And if her latest Instagram stories are anything to go by, she’s feeling pretty pregnant right now.
In a series of posts showing the normally glamourous jewellery designer on the lounge with tears streaming down her face, she wrote: “The world’s most hormonal woman right now. Crying over MAFS!”
We have to wonder what it was that got her tears flowing. Could it have been groom Mark’s lonely cup and plate?
However, it wasn’t only every day Australians looking for love that got her emotions in a tizz. The lads at Bondi did the job too.
“I also cried over Bondi Rescue. What of it?” she admits.

Byrnes and Matty J are a Bachie love success story. One year and a half on and the pair are super smitten. Perhaps even more so that hey’re about to become a family, often snapped together looking deeply in love.
Before the couple moved in together in 2017, Laura said she couldn’t wait to start their life together in Sydney.
Speaking to Now To Love exclusively last year, she said, “We both want to get married one day, we both want kids one day, we both want to live in the Eastern suburbs,” she said.
And it looks like all their dreams are coming true.
The journey to parenthood hasn’t been an easy road for the pair, who revealed to the Daily Telegraph they had experienced a devastating miscarriage early in June 2018 at seven weeks.
“We’d heard so many stories about how it had been so difficult for some people and obviously we thought it was going to be difficult for me because of what had already happened,” Byrne told The Telegraph.
“It is not something that people really talk about but actually one in four pregnancies end that way, you just don’t hear about it.”
But just weeks after the devastating miscarriage, Laura fell pregnant again.
And it seems something is in the Bachie water. Former fellow alum, Cobie Frost is also expecting.
Byrne joined another fellow love rival, Florence Alexandra and headed to a Queensland villa last weekend to celebrate Frost’s baby shower.
Super glamorous ToniMay jewellery designer, Byrne was glowing at the baby shower event, looking incredible as she sunned her sweet little bump poolside at the villa.
Sporting a bikini with a black Brixton fiddler cap, the 32-year-old proved her maternity fashion style is going to be worth watching this year.
Here’s hoping those hormones calm down soon, we still have more weddings to go! Good luck, Laura.
