Chrissy Teigen’s husband, John Legend, always defends his wife when she’s mommy-shamed, but for once, the tables have turned!
That’s right, John has been daddy-shamed, and now Chrissy is sticking up for her man.
The “All of Me” singer shared a photo of himself holding their daughter, Luna, 22 months, on Instagram recently, and one user commented, “So tired of seeing them carrying her. She needs no legs then.”
Chrissy quipped back, “Are you so tired of it? Does it make you so sad and upset 🙁 we are so sorry to make you, queen holland meissner of the universe sad and upset. What can we do for you to make it better, sweet angel.”
When asked by Entertainment Tonight how he felt about the incident, he replied, “Yeah, it was hilarious.” John added, “People, you know, I think people kind of — they see one photo and they want to make judgments about how people live their life and I think the best advice for all of us is, let parents be parents and don’t criticize based on what you see on social media.”
John and Chrissy might need to get ready for more parent-shaming, however. The couple is expecting their second child together, they announced in November. In a previous interview, John joked that Luna isn’t quite ready to be a big sister yet!
“She has no idea, she has no idea what’s going on,” he shared at the time. “We know there’s a baby in there and she can say ‘baby’ but I don’t really know if she knows what it means for her mother to be carrying another child and for that child to be her little sibling. I don’t know if she’s ready for that yet.”
Well we’re ready to meet baby No. 2, that’s for sure!
