Over the weekend, Buddy Franklin, 35, made AFL history as the first player in 26 years and the sixth of all time to score 1000 goals.
The sporting moment occurred in the final quarter of the match against the Geelong Cats, which caused a celebratory pitch invasion at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Buddy’s wife Jesinta Franklin and daughter Tullulah were in the mix of the excitement, and the model shared a lengthy post that featured Buddy’s LA-based sister Bianca and her baby Winter.

“This photo here sums up so much of last night for me. Friends and family made an incredible effort the last 2 weeks to be in Sydney for Bud to celebrate him kicking 1000 career goals.
“Whilst not everyone could make it, the love and support from family and friends near and far has been overwhelming, we are just so grateful.”
The crowd stormed the stadium pitch to mark the milestone.

“I’ve listened to stories from Bud’s parents and sisters of his passion and dedication to football from a young age and last night was a true testament to the hard work that has gone into not only over the last 18 years of his career but everything that happened before that that lead him to this moment.
“Being able to celebrate that with family was such an amazing moment. Love to everyone for all of your beautiful messages, I’ve said everything to Bud in person so I’ll just leave it here and say that I am just so proud 🤍 Looking forward to spending the day with our family and friends, I am finally going to have a champagne! I couldn’t manage more than a sip last night 🙈 x,” she finished.
She followed up her sweet tribute with a video of Buddy taking Tullulah into his arms after kicking his goal.

“Memories we will cherish forever. What a weekend ✨ @buddy_franklin23,” she gushed.
A day later and the awe had yet to leave their toddler who spent Sunday flipping through magazine clippings celebrating “Dadda’s kick,” which is all Jes “heard about” all day.
Jesinta and Buddy tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed daughter Tullulah in February 2020 and son Rocky in March 2021.
In February, the model marked a decade since their first date and mused on Instagram: “Grateful for the last 10 years and excited for what’s to come. I love you.”
