Four months after welcoming twins, Jana Pittman has made an honest confession about breastfeeding.
The former Olympian and SAS Australia fan-favourite took to Instagram to reveal she has reached her “breastfeeding goal” with her twins Willow and Quinlan.
“We made it… 4 months was my breastfeeding goal with the twins. Can’t believe time as passed so quickly and that tonight 4mths ago you entered the world,” the mother-of-six penned.
“I am truly blessed and shed a few tears of gratitude tonight.”
Jana also got refreshingly candid about the ups and downs of breastfeeding.
“As many of you know breastfeeding for me does not come easily and it’s been a roller coaster of doubt and triumph, good supply days and cluster feeding marathons, lactation teas, oats, bickies and pumping galore to get here but we made it,” she wrote.
“Not sure how much longer these boobs can manage as supply definitely becoming more challenging as their demands grow but gosh I am proud of the twins and I for getting this far.”
Jana and her husband Paul Gatward welcomed the twins on March 22, adding to their already big brood.
Quinlan and Willow are being doted on their other older brother Charlie, 18 months, and sisters Emily, six, and Jemima, five.
Jana’s eldest child, Cornelis, 15, from her first marriage to former coach Chris Rawlinson, has also been a huge helping hand for his sleep deprived mum.
The 39-year-old previously described her home life as “wonderful mayhem” with six kids now under the one roof.
“It has been the hardest and best time of my life,” she told our sister site New Idea.
