After a two-year journey and seven rounds of IVF, Real Housewives of Melbourne star and psychic Jackie Gillies has finally welcomed her miracle twins with her husband Ben Gillies -the former Silverchair drummer.
Jackie, 40, announced the exciting news on her Instagram on Sunday and shared photos of her two new babies.
The medium and her husband are yet to reveal their children’s names and sexes.
“They’re here 😍👩🏻🍼🧑🏻🍼,” Jackie announced. “OMG they are so cute 🥰. My heart is full ❤️”
Almost two months after Jackie shared a picture of her swollen belly from her egg retrieval procedure, she surprised her fans by announcing she successfully conceived twins on her Instagram.
She posted a picture of herself in a body con mini dress with her arms cradling her stomach.
She wrote, “I’m having TWINS! It has been a bumpy IVF journey but all worth it 🎉🥰 Thank YOU for your support XOXO.”
After announcing her pregnancy, Jackie told the Herald Sun that she had almost given up hope that her IVF journey would result in a positive pregnancy test.
“I’ve gone through over seven rounds of IVF, egg retrieval and transfers. A lot of ups and downs and it’s been emotionally challenging but to get to where we’ve got to has been so rewarding. You’ve got to keep pushing forward and having faith,” she told the publication.
“There were times where my faith was completely and utterly tested, I won’t deny that. There were times I cried, saying ‘why is this happening’, ‘am I meant to be a mother’, ‘is this ever going to happen’.”
In August 2020, Jackie shared a picture from her hospital bed before a previous egg retrieval procedure on her Instagram.
In her caption she sent a message of support dedicated to other women going through IVF, she wrote, “This is how pre #eggretrieval looks like #IVF 💪 Ladies, you got this, for anyone out there going through IVF!.
“From my heart to yours, I’m sending you all positive thoughts, prayers and shine 💫.”
Under the post fans commented support for the medium, with one fan commenting, “I was an IVF baby… 9th attempt! Never give up hope xx,” and another wrote, “I know that feeling all too well, good luck 💖.”
