His character Dr Christian Green may be the ultimate bachelor with no kids and no strings attached on Home And Away.
But off screen, it’s a totally different story for dedicated father of two, Ditch Davey.
The actor shares two lookalike sons, Eden, 17, and Taika, nine, with wife Sophia Dunn.
After Ditch landed the role of Christian on the Channel 7 soapie, the family relocated from Melbourne to Sydney to film the show.
As his sons settle into their new city, he hasn’t ruled out a possibility for them to follow in his showbiz footsteps.
“Taika is pretty animated. He’s followed me and did a couple of voice-over jobs a little while ago, and he’s pretty theatrical,” he told New Idea.
“But I’m not sure. All I want for these kids is for them to be happy, whatever path they choose to take.”
Despite Ditch’s successful career, his sons are yet to see him in action. Most of the time, it’s due to the nature of the series he’s starring in and how appropriate it is for a young audience. But that could all change with his role on a drama as family-friendly as Home And Away is.
“They haven’t seen a lot of the stuff I’ve done, particularly the youngest one,” the former Blue Heelers star revealed to TV WEEK earlier in the year.
“But they’re excited to watch Home And Away and I am too. When they were a bit younger, they used to come to set and play around with Nerf guns [toy weapons] or raid the craft services table.”

“The Davey boys getting it done. Taika’s first ever v/o at @risksound, then off to GUSTO for papa. @emvoices @iamsophiadavey,” Ditch shared next to this snap documenting his youngest son’s first voice over job.
“All I want for these kids is for them to be happy, whatever path they choose to take,” the 48-year-old has revealed of his parenting philosophy.
“Big bashing with my little Bam Bam!!”
Ditch and Taika’s selfie game is oh so strong.
Is there anything more special than a father-son bridge climb?
“I’m happy for them to forge their own path if that’s that they want to do – or not. It’s more important to me that they grow up being good, happy people,” Ditch explained to TV WEEK.
The Home And Away star shared this touching pic to mark Father’s Day earlier this year, musing: “Celebrating Fathers Day with my beautiful little man.”
In 2018, Ditch celebrated his son Taika’s christening.
“My wife’s whole family has been christened in this tiny church in Yorkshire, and because of our location our little guy was not included in that… until now. He now feels more a part of the English side of the family, which is great for him,” he explianed at the time.
