Hilaria Baldwin has shared some very happy news with her 630,000 fans on Instagram.
The Spanish actor is expecting her fifth child with husband, Alec Baldwin after the devastating miscarriage that broke her heart in April this year.
“It is still very early … but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me,” the mum-of-four wrote.
Always open and honest with her followers, the 35-year-old shared her happy news, despite it being so early on in the pregnancy.
“The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy,” she wrote. “Especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring. We want to share this news as we are excited and don’t want to hide the pregnancy.”
The newly pregnant mum also made a heartfelt plea to the Hollywood paparazzi to consider the safety of her and her baby in the coming months.
“These first few months are tough with exhaustion and nausea … and I don’t want to have to pretend that I feel ok,” she added.
“My one request is that the media not send paparazzi to follow me or buy independent paparazzi photos, hence encouraging them. I want to remain peaceful during this very early time in my pregnancy and getting chased around by cameras is not in the doctor’s orders.”
The star shares four children with husband Alec, little Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin, 16 months, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 3, Rafael Thomas, 4 and Carmen Gabriela, 6.
Alec is also dad to 22-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Back in April, Hilaria shared the news of her miscarriage with her online fans.
“I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage. I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss,” she penned.
By shining light on the often taboo topic, Hilaria hoped that by offering a real-time glimpse into what she was going through, she would be helping others not feel so alone.
“I have no shame or embarrassment with this experience. I want to be a part of the effort to normalise miscarriage and remove the stigma from it,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
“There is so much secrecy during the first trimester. This works for some, but I personally find it to be exhausting. I’m nauseous, tired, my body is changing. And I have to pretend that everything is just fine – and it truly isn’t. I don’t want to have to pretend anymore. I hope you understand.”
Congratulations to Hilaria and Alec and all the best for a happy outcome.
