It seems like yesterday when Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin announced the birth of their son Moses.

But the 14-year-old is growing up fast and appears to be something of a whizz in the kitchen, as evidenced by a series of home videos his proud mum shared on her Instagram account.

Like millions around the world, Gwyneth, 47, and her family are currently in lockdown self-isolating at their home in Los Angeles and passing the time by cooking.

And though the Shakespeare in Love star is an accomplished cook herself, it was her son Moses who was taking control in the kitchen making an assortment of dipping sauces to accompany their favourite dumplings.

โ€œWe religiously follow @eater_la who graciously let us know via one of their guides that the venerable @mama_luskitchen was selling their famous dumplings frozen. Moses made the dipping sauce. The rest is history,โ€ Gwyneth captioned her videos.

In the first video, Moses shows off two of the three dipping sauces he made and is seen mincing garlic with his impressive knife skills for the third.

โ€œI donโ€™t know the difference between mincing and dicing, but youโ€™re doing an amazing job,โ€ Gwyneth can be heard saying from behind the camera.

Moses then goes on to toast sesame seeds in the second video, tossing the pan like a pro, and in the third, proud mum Gwynnie shows off Mosesโ€™ restaurant-quality looking soup dumplings.

Heโ€™s inherited his mumโ€™s love of cooking.

In the final clip, Gwyneth shows off the impressive spread of food thatโ€™s been made and inadvertently revealed the nickname she uses for her son.

โ€œHere are your soup dumplings Mo Mo!โ€ Gwyneth says in the clip, to which Moses replied with an enthusiastic โ€œYay!โ€

This hasnโ€™t been the only insight Gwyneth has shared since going into lockdown. The Academy Award winner rarely shares photos of her family but uploaded a snap of herself, daughter Apple, 15, and Moses in their kitchen.

โ€œWFH with some moral support ๐Ÿ’šโ€ she captioned the picture.

Gwyneth shares Apple and Moses with her ex-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who famously โ€œconsciously uncoupledโ€ in 2013.

Though Gwyneth has gone on to marry TV producer Brad Falchuk, her ex still remains a part of her life and the couple continue to work as a team to raise their children.

Speaking to Stephen Colbert, the Iron Man actress explained, โ€œDivorce is terrible, it was very painful, it was really hard. We really genuinely wanted our kids to be as unscathed as possible.โ€

The dynamic may not work for some families, but Gwyneth told Marie Claire Australia that itโ€™s like theyโ€™re โ€œstill a family, but not a couple.โ€

โ€œI think we are better as friends than we were [married]. We are very close and supportive of one another,โ€ she added.
