In happy news for Gogglebox fans, Sarah-Marie and Matty Fahd have announced they’ve welcomed their first child – a baby boy called Malik George Fahd.
In a touching post, Matty announced the birth, writing, “Today, the 13.11.19, my heart is full Malik, I will love and protect you for the rest of my days. I will be there to lift you up and to catch you when you fall, to give you the confidence to be comfortable with who you are no matter the circumstance, to always be a real man, in the truest sense of the word. I love you my son, forever. “
Matty added: “For all the people out there trying for their own baby, Sarah and I are thinking of you today. Sarah is doing very well and was an absolute legend throughout. Many more photos to come.”
While Matty didn’t reveal details of the birth in the post, the couple previously revealed plans for a C-section after the procedure was recommended to Sarah-Marie, due to the fact she has previously suffered a brain haemorrhage.
“My obstetrician and neurosurgeon prefer I have a caesarean which means our baby may be born a bit earlier than planned,” the Gogglebox star previously told news.com.au
“Of course it’s scary and the healing takes longer but I am happy with whatever is safest for me and the baby.”

Sarah-Marie and Matty announced they were expecting by uploading a sweet post to Instagram in May.
In their photo, Matty looked stoked at the prospect of a baby on the way, covering his mouth with his hands while Sarah appeared equally excited.
Blue confetti could be seen in the air in the picture, signalling the Gogglebox couple are expecting a baby boy.
Alongside the happy snap, Sarah-Marie confirmed the pregnancy news, writing: “Matty and I are excited to finally announce that we are having a baby! 💙”
During the past few months, Sarah-Marie has been candid about her pregnancy journey on social media and revealed she wasn’t enjoying every aspect of expecting a bub.
Posting an image of her burgeoning baby belly on Instagram, Sarah-Marie made a candid confession about her pregnancy that many mums-to-be can relate to.
She revealed that she was suffering from eczema on her upper left arm, had sunken eyes, dry skin and lips as well as bruised swollen bleeding gums and was “tired 24/7”.
“Not everyone glows when they are pregnant,” Sarah-Marie added.
“Some of us go through a phase where we feel more like a ghost in a shell, not ourselves and you can’t help feel ugly and dull.”
However, Sarah-Marie said the safe arrival of her new bundle of joy would be worth it.
“If my baby is healthy that’s all that matters, of course. But this message is more for pregnant women out there who are going through the same thing,” she penned.
“You are not alone! It’s all worth it for the blessing of a child.”
Congratulations of the newest addition to the Gogglebox family!
