Disney fans rejoice, for the masterminds at Walt Disney Animation Studios have released the full trailer for the highly anticipated sequel at last.
Back in 2013 when the first Frozen film took over the world, urging us all to Let it Go, things left off on kind of a happy note. The bad guys were defeated, love conquered all when Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) were finally reunited and Olaf (Josh Gad) never melted. It was a happy time.
This time around it looks like there’s some big questions being answered in Arendelle.
The new trailer, which Disney released on Wednesday gives fans an insight into the plot of the animated sequel which looks to explore those mystical, magical powers that saw Elsa locked away from the world in the original film. With those powers now unleased and now threatening her kingdom, there are a lot of questions to be answered.
The sequel shows us Snow Queen, Elsa venturing beyond Arendelle to embark on a what looks like dangerous journey with her sister Anna, lovable snowman Olaf and Sami Iceman, Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer companion, Sven in search of the truth.
“Elsa, the past is not what it seems,” warns Troll, Pabbie (Ciarán Hinds).
“You must find the truth. Go north, across the enchanted land and into the unknown.”
Elsa is exploring the powers that kept her locked away from the world.

“But be careful,” Pabbie adds. “We have always feared Elsa’s powers were too much for this world. And now we must hope they are enough.”
The rest of the cast have returned to help Elsa find her way.

The original Frozen became a huge success, making box office history when it generated over $1.3 billion in worldwide ticket sales, along with two Oscars. To this day it still ranks as the highest-grossing animated film ever.
The In August 2017 a Broadway adaptation premiered and received three Tony nominations in 2018.
Frozen 2 arrives in Australian cinemas on December 26.
