On Tuesday, the cricket pro and his wife Kyly Clarke welcomed their newborn daughter five weeks ahead of her due date.
Despite the early arrival it seems everything is going smoothly at Clarke HQ with the 34-year-old taking to Instagram to share a sweet first family photo.
Alongside a black-and-white snap of the new family of three all holding hands, Michael penned: “Heaven! Kelsey Lee you are my angel.”
In the snap Kelsey Lee’s minuscule hand squeezes in between her mum and dad’s, who are both donning their wedding bands.
Earlier in the week Channel Nine’s Karl Stefanovic broke the exciting baby news, claiming that “a very good source” had informed him of the Clarke’s arrival.
“So I do have some very good news to report that has just come through to me,” he said.
“It is breaking news of the very best kind and I can report to you all back in Australia that from a very good source, that former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke and his beautiful wife Kyly have just had a baby girl,” Karl gushed.
And on Thursday, Michael confirmed the news by explaining via Instagram, “Thanks to everyone for all your very kind messages. Mum and daughter have both been amazing. Our little princess has daddy wrapped around her finger.”
