Sheryl Sandberg has opened up about her late husband Dave during a speech at a Beijing University.
Speaking to the graduating class of Tsinghua University, the Facebook chief operating office said employers are always looking for “genuine enthusiasm”.
This, she said, is something her late husband Dave Goldberg always had.
“No one won more hearts than my beloved husband Dave … He raised the performance of everyone around him,” she said.
“He did it as CEO of Survey Monkey, a great company he helped build, and he did it for me and our children.”
Goldberg died from a severe head trauma after falling off a treadmill in Punta Minta, Mexico on May 1. He was just 47.
Sandberg used the opportunity to talk about leadership and women in the workforce.
“We expect leadership from boys and men but when a little girl leads she’s called bossy,” she said.
“That little girl isn’t bossy. That little girl has executive leadership skills.”
