Sarah Bromby, 28, recently told her son Ethan that he was going to become a big brother, and he couldn’t have been more delighted!
The pregnant mum filmed the sweet moment in the car as young Ethan sat in the back in his car seat.
The heart-warming video has been viewed more than 5 million times since its August upload earlier this year.
The mum from Scunthorpe, in North Lincolnshire hands her son two scans of the new baby.
“What’s that? That’s me? I don’t know [who it is],” he giggled as he asked Sarah.
“No it’s not you, guess again,” before adding: “Guess what? You’re going to be a big brother!”
And the sweet five-year-old couldn’t have had a better reaction.
Breaking into the biggest smile, Ethan gasped, “That’s your baby? Is growing? It’s in your belly just now? Is it?”
After his mum confirms the joyous news, the big brother to-be squealed with sheer delight before repeatedly asking: “are you really having a baby? I’m going to be a new big brother!”
In a sweet notion, Ethan even offers to share his bed with his new sibling: “He can sleep in my bed if you want.”
Sarah chatted to the Scunthorpe Telegraph about her son’s excitement.
“I was expecting him to take it well because he has been pestering me about having a brother or sister,” she explained.
“He wants a little sister, but he knows that he can’t choose.”
The expectant mum admitted she was surprised by the response to the adorable video.
“I take pictures of him anyway but people have gone crazy over it – people were already talking about it when I came into work,” she laughed.
Ethan is expected to become a big brother in January – and we can’t wait to see how he reacts to the exciting responsibility.
