Comedian Joe Heenan is in serious contention for Dad Of The Year.
The forgetful father-of-two was unprepared to send his children off to school this World Book Day dressed as literary character costume so he reached for the Argos catalogue for inspiration.
Tweeting a snap of his bewildered children Daniel, 5, and Daisy, 8, the self-described “Award losing stand-up comedian” from Perthshire wrote: “#WorldBookDay Forgot they had to be in costume, so they’re going to school as pages 89 & 165 of the Argos catalogue.”
The tweet of the creative costumes has been shared almost six thousand times.
The fun didn’t stop there – Joe also took some inspiration from breakfast and became an author himself of the world’s first edible book.
And last year Joe’s daughter Daisy misplaced her schoolbag and Joe came up with a genius alternative.
A bag made of a beer box and string – something that would surely go for a couple of quid in an East London market.
