Cristiano Ronaldo’s 24-year-old model girlfriend Gina Rodriguez has opened up for the first time about what it’s really like to date the Portguese soccer star – and honestly, it sounds like pretty tough gig, no sarcasm intended.
Dating the world’s highest paid athlete and the most followed user on Instagram (he’s got 172 million followers) means the Spanish lingerie model likes to keep reminding Ronaldo of how good he’s got it at home, revealing she “always” wears lingerie to bed because it keeps her man “happy”.
Rodriguez has been dating Ronaldo, who at age 34 is ten years her senior, since 2016 and they have one child together, an almost two-year-old daughter named Alana Martina.
Ronaldo has four children. His eldest son Cristiano Jr, nine, was born in the US, but his mother’s identity has never been made public. In June 2017 Ronaldo welcomed two twins, Eva and Mateo, born in the US via a surrogate and just a few months later in November, Rodriguez gave birth to the couple’s own child.

“Being the partner of someone so famous is not easy but I would not change it for the world,” she told The Sun.
“What I feel for him is stronger than anything, any kind of pressure. Together we are stronger and there is a mutual admiration. But to seduce and to dream is so important. I always sleep in lingerie and I prefer sexy lingerie.
“It is comfortable and sexy and romantic. It has everything and it will make your man happy as well.”
Rodriguez is the face of underwear company Yamamay and frequently shares photos of herself in lingerie with her 12.7 million Instagram followers.

(Credit: Instagram)Ronaldo, who currently plays for Italian football club Juve, first met his baby mama at a Gucci store in 2016, where Rodriguez was working as a sales assistant.
“Our first meeting was at Gucci, where I worked as a sales assistant,” she told The Sun.
“Days later we saw each other again at another brand’s event. It was then that we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment. It was love at first sight for both,” she said.
Now the couple live in Turin in northern Italy after moving from Spain, where Ronaldo was previously based when he played for Real Madrid.
Despite moving away from her native country, Rodriguez says she loves her new home.
“I love Turin, its location near the Alps, next to Milan and near to Spain,” she said.
“Italy is a wonderful country, with its history, culture, art and fashion and I love Juve.”

(Credit: Instagram)But despite his prowess on the soccer field, Ronaldo’s career has been defined by scandals in his personal life, including being charged with millions of dollars in tax evasion and multiple rape allegations over a number of years.
The most recent allegation, in April 2017, revealed that Ronaldo’s lawyers paid a woman US$375,000 to keep quiet about her rape claims and was made to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which she later broke.
Ronaldo has continued to deny all allegations and described the woman’s accusations as an “intentional defamation campaign”.
“When people question your honour, it hurts. It hurts a lot, mainly because I have a big family, a girlfriend and an intelligent child who understands a lot of things,” he told an Italian TV station recently.
“This is a case I’m not comfortable expressing myself on. But once again, my innocence has been proven. It makes me proud.”
In the end, prosecutors could not prove the claims.
“Based upon a review of information at this time, the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt,” they said in a statement.

Rodriguez says it made her realise that while being rich is wonderful, at times it can be more trouble than it’s worth.
“Economic wealth is good — it helps with things, but it also gives you problems.
“You have to have a lot of control and a good attitude. Sometimes it is not easy to deal with money. It doesn’t give you happiness. It helps but it is not everything in life.”

While the stunning model has a career of her own, she says she prefers to spend most of her time at home with her family.
“I try to be more in the house than outside. I spend more time with my children than most mothers. There are jobs that make it easier to be at home,” she said.
“The good thing about my work is that I can upload photos from home, and advertising campaigns are a maximum of two days away in a row.”
