Chris and Elsa fell hard and fast for each other, tying the knot just three months after meeting back in 2010.

So do how do an up and coming Aussie Hollywood heartthrob and an incredibly beautiful Spanish actor and producer get together in the first place? It was a set-up.

Yep, talent agent, William Ward introduced the pair in 2010, and for Elsa it was the Thor actorโ€™s voice that got her attention in the beginning.

In 2016, when Pataky was listed as one of Whoโ€™s Sexiest People, she spoke with the publication and confessed it was the sultry tones, of the laid-back Aussie that drew her in.

โ€œHis voice is amazing! Before I met him, I heard his voice on the phone and that was what I loved.

โ€œHe was probably making it even deeper,โ€ she laughed.

From those initial phone conversations, the fall into a deep love was a fast one.

In an interview with Elle, Hemsworth claims it was simply a love that was meant to be.

โ€œThere was no light-bulb moment,โ€ he said. โ€œFrom the first time we met, we just made sense.

โ€œSheโ€™s fun. Sheโ€™s outgoing, and she has a sense of humour and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try to keep up with.โ€

As for marrying so quickly, that made sense for the spontaneous couple too.

Speaking during an appearance on ITVโ€™s Good Morning Britain, Hemsworth explained: โ€œIt did happen quick and it just felt right, just, it made sense.

โ€œThere was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said โ€˜why donโ€™t we get married too?โ€™ and then the next minuteโ€ฆโ€

The pair were married shortly after Christmas in 2010 during a family holiday on the island of Sumba in Indonesia.

โ€œHonestly, we had both our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said this is a good opportunity with everyone together so we just did it,โ€ Hemsworth explained.

Raising a family together can sometimes introduce a little drama into a relationship, however for Hemsworth and Pataky, it brought them even closer together.

โ€œAll of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids.โ€

The Snow White and the Huntsman star, Hemsworth fell even more in love with Pataky after she gave birth to their three kids.

He told Who, โ€œWatching her be a mother made me fall even more in love with her. Once we had kids we were like, โ€˜Weโ€™re in it, this is it.'โ€

He continued, โ€œAll of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids. She certainly keeps me sane. I complain about things, she gets on with it.โ€

Kids are the great leveller, and thatโ€™s something that Hemsworth has learned and appreciates about parenting with Pataky.

โ€œItโ€™s not about you anymore which is refreshing and my kids are hilarious and insane and crazy โ€“ itโ€™s good,โ€ he confessed.

โ€œYou go from press tours and work and then straight back into reality and youโ€™re handed a child with a nappy.โ€

That doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™s all smooth sailing though. When it comes to parenting thereโ€™s one thing that the pair donโ€™t agree on.

For laid back Hemsworth and his Spanish wife, a cultural difference means the pair take different approaches when it comes to disciplining their kids โ€“ daughter, India Rose and twin sons, Tristan and Sasha โ€“ while out and about.

โ€œEverybody here, when they tell off their kids, theyโ€™re like (mimics whispering), but we are totally opposite,โ€ explains Tidelands star, Pataky told a local publication.

โ€œWe are loud and sometimes Chris gets really embarrassed. Heโ€™s like, โ€˜Stop it, everyoneโ€™s looking at usโ€™.โ€

โ€œLove love love always and forever #youalwaysmakemelaugh love you,โ€ Pataky shared on Instagram.

Former Home and Away star, Hemsworth credits his wife with ensuring he looks the part of the Hollywood star he has become while on the red carpet.

โ€œ[Elsa] gives me confidence and makes me look good,โ€ he told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of In the Heart of the Sea.

โ€œShe tells me how to dress. She gets me ready for the red carpet.โ€

As for Pataky, being married to one of the worldโ€™s most desirable men is no biggie.

โ€œItโ€™s funny when itโ€™s your husband. For me, sexy is the inside of someone,โ€ she said.

โ€œOf course I think heโ€™s beautiful and fit, but I will never tell him that because he will get too, how do you say, โ€˜cockyโ€™?

โ€œHeโ€™ll be like, โ€˜What do you think of that?โ€™ And Iโ€™ll say, โ€˜Well, Iโ€™ve been the sexiest woman in Spain for a lot of years.โ€™ Itโ€™s all just a joke, though.โ€

The spark will never die for Hemsworth, who told TV Week, โ€œEach week I find something different, more I love about her. It continues to grow, which is a great thing.โ€

As well as being madly in love, the couple share a passion for ther careers in the entertainment industry.

The loved-up pair share their praise for each other, often and in the sweetest ways.

They regularly accompany one another to movie premieres and red carpets and in 2022, Chris produced Elsaโ€™s Netflix blockbuster film Interceptor. He even helped her get into shape for her leading role.

โ€œI wanted to have the same physique as strong women that Iโ€™ve seen, these US army girls they really prepare,โ€ she told Now To Love, adding that Chris helped train her.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve been through this amazing military training, so I just wanted to portray kind of that attitude and that body and physicality.โ€

But one thing he couldnโ€™t help her with was her accent, which has turned into a total mix of influences since moving to Australia.

โ€œI canโ€™t even believe it, Iโ€™ve started having that little way of talking that Australians have,โ€ she laughs.

โ€œ[I] speak in English with an Australian accent sometimes or use Australian wordsโ€ฆ we are like little sponges in that wherever you leave, you start picking up all those things.โ€

Now that she and Chris are happily settled in Australia and loving every minute of it, weโ€™re sure those Aussie influences are only going to get stronger.
