Comedic actor, Eddie Murphy welcomed his tenth child at age 57 in late 2018. He and long-time partner, Perth born actress, Paige Butcher announced the birth of their second child together, Max Charles Murphy in early December.
Little Max is the 10th child for the Beverly Hills Cop actor, and the second child for the 39-year-old Butcher. The couple also share a two-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona.
And Eddie Murphy is not the only celebrity father proving that age is no barrier. There’s a whole host of stars ready to take on fatherhood later in life …
Australian actor, Butcher, 39 – who appeared in 2003’s Something’s Gotta Give and 2006’s Big Momma’s House 2 – and Murphy began dating in 2012., and while Butcher was child-free, Murphy had a liiiiiittle bit more baggage.
His daddy roll call includes Bria, 28, Shayne, 23, Zola, 18, Bella, 16,and brother Miles, 25, who come from Murphy’s previous relationship with Nicole Mitchell Murphy. Then there’s Eric, 29, from Murphy’s ex Paulette McNeely and Christian, 27, with Tamara Hood. Oh, and of course, there’s Angel, 11, who Eddie shares with Spice Girl Melanie “Mel B” Brown.
As for becoming a dad later in life, Murphy joins an elite group of silver foxes at the nappy-change station.
